Different types of ghost found in India.
From the beginning men has been afraid of the unknown. We discovered fire to remove the darkness that we lived in. But we were unable to light that fire inside of us.
In the earlier post i discussed what are ghost. Now today we are going to take a look at different types of ghost found in India or Asia. Many of them are quiet harmless but you can never know when they will turn on you.
1)Bhoot :- Bhoot(ghost) are the souls of the deceased person. They are usually the one we hear about a lot. They are quiet harmless but not always.
2)Pret:- Pret, the spirit of the person who has died due to family torture or has not been cremated properly, they are very violent spirits ready to harm anyone due to its past lives tortures. The mention of Pret can also be found in Hanuman Chalisa.
3)Churel:- Churel(Witch) are the ghost of those women who die while giving childbirth or pregnancy or during the state of ritual impurity due to the negligence of her family members. They are the most violent spirits that have hideous appearens but change their look into young women to lure young man and kill them.
4)Chetkin:- One type of churel that has died in an accident. She hypnotizes young man and kills them the same way she had died.
5)Virikas:- They are souls that reside in forest. They are quiet harmless but when someone disturbers them they make bone chilling sound to scare the person away.
6)Mohini:- Mohini are the souls of women who have been betrayed by their lover. With the fire of revenge still burning inside of them they kill young men in the most gruesome manner one could imagine.
7)Shakini:- The women who die during their wedding night or a few days after become shakini. They are very dangerous spirits.
8)Dakini:- Dakini are the souls of women who are killed by their husbands on their wedding night. Mainly they are mixture of Mohini and shakini and are the second most dangerous spirit after churel. Who lives on hate and fear.
9)Nishi:- Not all spirits are malevolent, Nishi or they guiding spirits, that shows the right path to strangers and travelers and keeps them safe from other evils.
10)Brahmadatya:- These are the spirits of holy brahmins that are guide the person it choses to be with.Now there are many cases in which these spirits have harmed people but the original truth is still unknown.
11)Pandubba:- The souls of people who have drowned. They catch the swimmers leg and drags him/her deep underwater where he/she dies and becomes a pandubba too.
12)Kutti chetan:- Souls of small children that are controlled by tantrics. They use these souls to their benefit and make them do evil things like theft,murder,or luring more kutti chetan.
These is the list of the most famous of all ghost and spirits i have came to know about personally, from my elders, neighbors, and many strangers. There are many different types of ghost around in the world. But i have jotted down the most famous in my country. There will be many updates and stories coming soon and i intend to write one post daily so plz comment and share guys.

What are Ghosts?

Ghost, a widely discussed term. But the most relevant explanation of the term is this,"Ghost is the soul or spirit of a dead person or an animal that can appear, in visible form or manifestation, to the living". Many believe it to be some sort of intelligent energy that has been remained imprisoned on our earth, while others say ghost are demons. But if you ask me what is the most true of them. Well i will tell you its the and approximate of all three.
Many persons who have particular interest in an inanimate object or have a loved once they care for it, not only till they are alive but also from after the grave.Science yet has not proven the existence of ghost or any other energy but there are surely some things and events that has left scientist dumbfound.So what exactly are ghost?
Are they power of the human mind projecting apparitions and doing things way beyond our capacity to understand?Are they people trapped in our world, tormented like this for their sins?Or they are glimpse of the past that replay with changes in our environment? Many questions have infinite answers. Please give your thoughts and sorry for any typo error or grammatical mistakes as this is my first blog. :)
